As a birthday gift for a close friend, I custom painted a pair of Jordans to fit their personal style and personality. In coming up with a design, I wanted to highlight Chinese culture, which was a large part of their person’s identity. I tested several key colors to match their wardrobe by drawing up drafts on Illustrator (shown below) in order to figure out which color scheme would be best.

Fun fact: I didn’t have a paintbrush thin enough to paint the illustrations, so all the design is painted with a toothpick!
